In een weiland aan de noordzijde van de Grebbeberg bleek een grote hoeveelheid gemaaid gras in brand te staan.<\/p>\n<p>In verband met de problematische wateraanvoer werd de brandweer van Rhenen\/Achterberg geassisteerd door de korpsen van Elst, Veenendaal en Amerongen. Tevens werd er groot water transport ingezet vanaf de Grift. Met behulp van een graafmachine wordt de berg gras uit elkaar getrokken en afgeblust door de brandweerlieden.<\/p>\n<p>Een grote rookpluim trok over de bebouwde kom van Rhenen. Bij de brand zijn geen gevaarlijke stoffen vrij gekomen.
