Het slachtoffer is daarna door omstanders en vele hulpverleners (politie, brandweer en ambulance) gereanimeerd. Ook een trauma arts is met een helikopter ter plaatse gekomen. Na stabilisatie van het slachtoffer, is deze met ernstig letsel per ambulance naar het ziekenhuis gebracht.<\/p>\n<p>Vanwege de ernst van het ongeval heeft de brandweer zichtschermen geplaatst en heeft de politie het toegestroomde publiek op ruime afstand gezet. De N223 (Herenstraat en Frederik van de Paltshof ) is tussen de twee rotondes langdurig afgesloten in verband met het politieonderzoek.\u00a0 In het kader van dit onderzoek wil de politie graag in contact komen met eventuele getuigen.
