Vanwege het hoge risico op uitbreiding door de droogte, werd er meteen opgeschaald en werden veel voertuigen uit Elst en Rhenen en omliggende plaatsen zoals Amerongen, Leersum, Veenendaal en zelfs Woudenberg en Zeist opgeroepen.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens een bericht van de Veiligheidsregio Utrecht zou het gaan om een perceel van zo&#8217;n 400 tot 500 vierkante meter. Omdat de rook richting Elst trok werd geadviseerd de ramen en deuren gesloten te houden.<\/p>\n<p>De brand werd na enige tijd gelokaliseerd en snel geblust. De brandweer is daarna nog enige tijd bezig geweest met nablussen.
