Metershoge handgemaakte lichtkunstwerken van Chinese kunstenaars toveren het dierenpark om tot een magisch lichtfestival voor jong en oud.<\/p>\n<p>Vanavond vond de offici\u00eble opening van dit magische festival voor genodigden plaats. Onder anderen de Chinese ambassadeur Hong Xu, burgemeester Hans van der Pas en de eigenaar van Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen Marcel Boekhoorn waren hierbij aanwezig en hebben een passende openingshandeling verrichten. Eerst haperde de schakelaar nog even maar het technische oog van ambassadeur Hong Xu loste het probleem vakkundig op.<\/p>\n<p>Wat dit festival zo bijzonder maakt is dat alle objecten op maat ontworpen en gemaakt zijn door een groep specialisten uit China. Zij zijn op dit moment in Nederland op locatie bezig met het opbouwen en monteren van de metershoge lichtelementen. De kunstwerken bevatten dieren, flora en typisch Chinese en Nederlandse items.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De sterke band tussen Rhenen en Sichuan<\/strong><br \/>\nSinds 2017 verblijven twee reuzenpanda\u2019s die uit de Chinese provincie Sichuan komen in Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen. Middels de stichting OZF zet Ouwehands Dierenpark zich in voor het behoud en de bescherming van het leefgebied van de reuzenpanda\u2019s in Sichuan. De band tussen Rhenen en Sichuan die ontstond was indirect de aanleiding voor de samenwerking met de Chinese organisatie Zigong Haitian Culture waarmee China Light Festival wordt gerealiseerd. De organisatie komt uit de stad Zigong in de provincie Sichuan, dat bekend staat om haar grootse lichtfestival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entertainment voor een totaalbeleving<\/strong><br \/>\nChina Light Festival biedt de bezoeker naast de fantastische lichtobjecten een totaalbeleving door entertainment met een Chinees karakter zoals een traditionele leeuwendans.
