Na enig speurwerk is de brand uiteindelijk aangetroffen aan de Friesesteeg. Daar hebben onbekenden een stapel snoeihout in brand gestoken.<\/p>\n<p>Ook het tweede voertuig van brandweer Rhenen &#8211; Achterberg werd ter plaatse geroepen om te assisteren en de waterwinning te verzorgen. De brandweer heeft de stapel grondig geblust om te voorkomen dat het vuur weer op zou laaien. Iedere vorm van open vuur is momenteel een potentieel gevaar voor natuurbranden in verband met de extreme droogte.
