Op sportpark De Meent versloegen de Achterbergers de bezoekers uit Utrecht. Al vroeg in de eerste helft kwamen de Achterbergers op voorsprong door een doelpunt van Illias Abba. Abba schoot de voorzet van\u00a0Wesley van Merkenstein fraai achter de Utrechtse doelman en zette de 1-0 op het scorebord.<\/p>\n<p>Vlak voor het eindsignaal van de eerste helft schoot\u00a0Dwight Keeldar de Achterbergers naar een mooie 2-0 voorsprong. In de 2e helft kwamen de Utrechters nog wel sterk terug maar tot scoren kwamen ze niet en zo werd de wedstrijd met 2-0 in het voordeel van de Achterbergers beslist.<\/p>\n<p>VVA Achterberg gaat aan kop in de competitie met 2 punten voorsprong op achtervolger Vriendenschaar.
